Bats have a bad reputation - branded as blood-sucking vampires for centuries, and more recently shunned for potentially harbouring and spreading COVID. But these deeply misunderstood and undervalued creatures of the night are essential to keeping balance in our planet’s ecosystems. They pollinate plants, disperse seeds, and help humans out by eating literal tons of insect pests every year. They're the only mammals that can properly fly, and if you’ve ever laid eyes on one you’ll see they’re actually pretty cute. Bats are very vulnerable to environmental threats like habitat loss, light pollution and disease. Every contribution helps protect them, no matter how small. All proceeds will be donated to Friends of the Earth Germany (BUND): www.bund.net/bund-in-english/.
