Bears have run wild in the human imagination for thousands of years - as threats to a porridge-loving Goldilocks, as cuddly Teddy companions, as raging man-eating beasts, and even inspiring the names of star constellations. Human developments like logging, mining and road construction combined with global warming is bringing drastic change to the places bears call home. This reduces their access to safety and food, and often brings them into conflict with residents, farmers and livestock. More gruesome threats come from illegal hunting, trapping and trade in bear body parts. Love them, fear them, or both, nobody wants to see these furry legends wiped out. Buy the release because we will donate all proceeds to the Heinz Sielmann Foundation to do something about it.
